The Rutgers University Mounted Patrol is a division of the Community Service Officer Program run by Rutgers' Public Safety Department. We have 3 patrol horses and average 14 trained student officers at any given time. There are two Student Supervisors for patrol who oversee the maintenance of the horses and organize the patrol schedule. We patrol the Cook and Douglas campuses at Rutgers New Brunswick 7 nights a week while classes are in session. We also participate in many campus community events including Monster Mash, Special Friends Day and Rutgers Day (formerly Ag Field Day). | ![]() |
